See how all that stuff inside gets squished into nothing? Yeah, that part really sucks.

This terrified me.

My son was 8lbs 15oz when he was born. By month number nine I was practically begging my doctor to get him out.

Those things inside you get squished up into your lungs. This is why people with asthma sometimes have very difficult times carrying a pregnancy.

This is also why I’ve basically just started rolling my eyes when numerous healthcare professionals tell me to be aware of “trouble breathing,” which could be a symptom of pulmonary embolism with my clotting disorder (especially with the switch to heparin, which is taking forever to find the correct dosage for).
Like, yeah, I COULD have a pulmonary embolism.  Or the baby is just kicking me in the damn lungs again.
Also, my boobs grew way more than that.  Which is how I ended up with inflamed chest cartilage… but that’s a story for another day.
